COSPONSORSHIP

CEI works with cosponsoring organizations to:

  1. Increase the availability of innovative, quality continuing education programs for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians;
  2. Increase the availability of multidisciplinary educational programs to encourage and foster a team approach in caring for patients;
  3. Advance the practice of pharmacy and increasing the quality of patient care outcomes

CEI as an ACPE Accredited Provider of Continuing Pharmacy Education

CEI is accredited as an entity housed with the The Iowa Pharmacy Association (IPA). IPA received accredited provider status from the Accredation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) on January 25, 1979. CEI realizes that many local associations and other organizations are not in a position, financially or administratively, to seek accreditation with ACPE, however they would like to offer continuing education programs to their members, employees, etc.

Acceptance and maintenance of accredited provider status requires CEI to adhere to a set of established quality standards known as the "Criteria for Quality". It is necessary for a designated individual of a group who desires cosponsorship with CEI to become completely familiar with this information and abide by the guidelines presented based on the Criteria for Quality.
