Pharmacy technicians are a valuable member of the pharmacy practice team. CEI offers
focused CPE activities which address the three competency areas for pharmacy technicians
as outlined by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) - assisting the
pharmacist in serving patients, maintaining medication and inventory control systems,
participating in the administration and management of pharmacy practice.
CEI's activities include a review for pharmacy technicians preparing for the
technician certification exam as well as continuing pharmacy education for
certified pharmacy technicians (CPhTs) who require CPE to renew their certification.
